History and corporate philosophy

We preserve values

ANKE GmbH & Co. KG is a modern industrial service company and has specialised in the functional refinement of metallic surfaces since it was founded over 125 years ago. Our range of services includes high-quality coating for machine components, for example, in order to protect them permanently against corrosion and wear. In addition, we offer other processing options such as cylindrical grinding, lapping or corundum blasting for a perfect surface finish.

Around 150,000 workpieces - from the smallest screw to workpieces weighing up to 20 tons - pass through our plants every year. On an area of 22,000 m2 today, we have 20 hard chrome baths with an electrolyte volume of 165,000 litres, the largest with 56,500 litres, as well as modern systems for chemical nickel plating with a total of 16,000 litres.

Machine components that have been surface-treated by us are used in wind turbines or large hydraulic components in opencast mining excavators and construction machinery all over the world. They are also widely used in the steel, plastic, textile, food, pharmaceutical and packaging industries, as well as in medical technology.

We have approximately 65 employees who work in three shifts every day and use their skills and experience to solve familiar and new challenges. In addition, together with our sister companies in the Parzer group of companies, we are able to meet practically every special request from our customers.

Quality and Sustainability

Our quality standard is consistently based on the requirements of our customers. We ensure optimal results with dimensional tolerances in the micrometer range. Certification according to EN-ISO 9001: Quality management documents our efficiency.

In terms of environmental protection, too, we are careful to meet the highest standards, i.e., to protect the climate and resources as much as possible. In this regard, our new building at the city harbour in the north of Essen, which was only completed in 2018, has a number of technical features that make us one of the most environmentally friendly and modern electroplating companies in Europe. Among other things, the energy efficiency of the building corresponds to that of a low-energy house 55. The waste heat from production is used to heat our production facility - we operate self-sufficiently down to an outside temperature of - 17°C. A precisely coordinated ventilation and exhaust system makes our facilities not only safe for the environment, but also serves in particular to protect our employees.
